Designers’ Favourite website

This week’s favourite website was created for The KJA Group.
The KJA Group are financial specialists, offering a wide range of services – including accounting, auditing, business development, taxation, and investment – to small to medium sized businesses throughout the local area. The company already had a website, but this was in need of modernising in order to bring their online presence up to date.
A key feature of the new site needed to be the people behind The KJA Group. The sizeable team of financial experts had recently been visited by a professional photographer, and were able to provide the it’seeze team with a vast array of high-quality images to use throughout the site as a result. These photographs became the main fixture of the design, lending the website a very real and people-centric look and feel that really helps to cement the company as a trustworthy and approachable source for financial advice.
Visit each page on the website and you will see that a different team member is featured in each banner, with the banners themselves being divided into two separate blocks of content. With a photo on the left and a patterned text block containing a bold heading and a call to action on the right, these split banners appear highly contemporary and add visual interest to the design.
The thin white line dividing the banner is also used to separate out each section of content further down the page, giving a natural flow to the layout and ensuring every part is given due prominence. The user journey is further enhanced by the use of a slide-in animation effect, which causes the top-level content to move into position on scroll. Again, this lends a fresh, modern feel to the design and also succeeds in making the website engaging, yet still wholly professional.
