I get asked this question a lot and this week I was sent an email by a lady based in Colchester as follows:
Hi there,

You’ve recently designed a website for my friend Elaine (The Silver Bag). We both did the IM4S course together. I thought what you guys did for Elaine looked great and was very quick to load.

I was wondering if you could help me speed up my website? I currently have a Wordpress site that I’ve built from a template. But, the load time is just too long. I have a feeling it’s because of who I’m hosting with (123-Reg). Although I’m ok at the Wordpress side of things, I really struggle with the SSL certificate, domain transfers and the ‘technical’ part of running a website.

Do you offer any support in these areas as a service? Many thanks.

So my answer to this question was the same as it always is, DIY websites may look great and save you money in the short term, but they are probably going to be lacking vital elements or functionality that will render them useless when launched. Unless you know what you are doing then I suggest that you employ an expert, I mean would you service your own car?

Hi XXXX

Thanks for your email, at this time we do not offer support with Wordpress websites, we have our own very robust, secure and fast loading website solution that we control and manage and base all of our clients' websites on.

Elaine's website is based on the it'seeze solution and this is the main reason it runs correctly. The solution also allows Elaine access to edit the website very easily when needed.

If you were looking to correct these issues then I can offer a website re design on the it'seeze CMS (Content Management System). You can view the package details here: www.itseeze-colchester.co.uk

If you would like to arrange a meeting or a Zoom to learn more about how we can help please either contact me directly or call me on 01473 845123 to arrange.
